Carol E. Beyna
Carol was born and raised in Maine in a family that valued the arts. She grew up in Cape Elizabeth, and at an early age was encouraged to draw by her parents and extended family. During her elementary school years, she and her brothers took art lessons at the Portland Museum of Art and also received informal instruction from their mother, an accomplished painter and musician.
It was not until retirement to Maine in 1996 that Carol decided to get serious about art. Carol now paints every week with two different groups, the Royal River Art League and the Thursday Painters. It is this regularity, along with the encouragement and helpful critique of her artist friends, that continues to inspire her.
Carol paints for the joy of creativity and exhibits her work with her art groups. She also donates some of her paintings to charitable organizations. What could be better than spending a gorgeous day painting with good friends on the spectacular coast of Maine?
