Tony Lisa has been a resident of Cumberland for over fifty years, raising his family here. Educated and trained as an engineer, Tony began taking painting classes while serving in the United States Air Force.
Following his retirement from his career as a mechanical engineer, he returned to painting and became fascinated with drawing, combining it with his interest in Maine history.
He developed a passion for drawing from photos provided by the Maine Historical Society and the Cumberland Historical Society.
He frequently participated in local art shows and regularly donated his work to local fundraising endeavors.
