Cumberland Fire Chiefs, Central Fire Station, Tuttle Road, Cumberland, Maine, 1965

Five Fire Chiefs stood in front of Central Fire Station as it was burning in order to make room to build the new Central Station. From left to right, they are: Maurice Small, Phil Chase, Harold Bragg, Kenneth Chase, and Edward Bragg.

Edward and Harold Bragg were sons of Cumberland’s first Fire Chief, Lester Bragg. Kenneth Chase was the father of Phil Chase. Maurice Small was the father of subsequent Fire Chief George Small, who is the father of Fire Chief Daniel Small.
