Pride's Amusement Park and Zoo, Gray Road,
West Cumberland, Maine

The Gray Road Amusement Park and Zoo was another of the attractions that existed when the Portland-Lewiston Interurban Railroad ran through town.

The zoo boasted alligators and exotic birds to view. As seen on the sign, fried clams and other eats were also sold there. Nearby, on the northwest corner of Blackstrap and Gray Roads, Spinney’s Gray Road Inn was a popular dance hall that attracted young and old alike from around the Greater Portland area.

The building was demolished in the 1970s.
