Pride’s Forest Tea Room, Blackstrap Road, West Cumberland, Maine

Pride’s Forest Tea Room on Route 100 and Blackstrap Road was one of the many teahouses that cropped up in Maine in the 1910s.

In this photograph, a sign advertises chicken dinners, chicken pies, crab meat sandwiches, hot waffles, salads, coffee, and donuts among the tea room’s offerings.
